Isolation and Characterization of Trichoderma spp. for Antagonistic Activity against Avocado (Persea americana Mill) Fruit Pathogens

چکیده
In this research, we aimed to isolate and identify native strains of Trichoderma spp. with potential activity against avocado pathogens (Neofusicoccum parvum, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Diaporthe sp., Phomopsis perseae). Strains were isolated from roots soil obtained orchards different regions Mexico. Twenty-five isolated, which six (TSMICH7, TSMICH8, TRMICH9, TSMICH10, TSMICH15, TRJAL25) showed greater antagonistic capacity in vitro (>80%) pathogens. After 96 h, the strain undergoes a thickening hyphae, while phytopathogen tends thin, except for thicken. The characterization these was carried out through morphological observations amplification sequencing rDNA fragments (ITS regions), as well translation elongation factor 1-alpha (Tef 1-?), achieving identification harzianum. However, vivo evaluation (applying directly fruit), TSMICH7 maintained considerably high effectiveness (>90%) four phytopathogens tested, mainly P. perseae, N. increasing glucanases chitinases. Therefore, T. harzianum could be used biological control agent inhibit post-harvest avocados, thus avoiding significant losses fruit international importance.

Polyphenoloxidase and peroxidase in avocado pulp ( Persea americana Mill . )
The sensorial qualities, the nutritional value, and the large amount of vitamins of the avocado justify the expansion of the fruit consumption. The nutritional value of avocado is due to its high lipidic (8.4%) and proteic (1.2%) contents, which may reach 30% of its pulp. Due to its chemical composition it also becomes appropriate for industrial purposes (CANTO; SANTOS; TRAVAGLIN, 1980; TANGO; ...
متن کاملIn Vitro Propagation of Avocado (Persea americana Mill.) Abstract
A method with high success frequency for propagation of avocado is described. Embryonic axes of mature avocado seeds from six Floridian cultivars were excised and cultured in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium containing growth regulators. Two types of cytokinins were used: benzyladenine (BA) and thidiazuron (TDZ). Explants were incubated in the dark for 7-10 days to reduce browning, then transfer...

Basic postharvest work on 'Fuerte' avocado fruit cell wall anatomy and ultrastructure was carried out from fruit harvest to postclimacteric stage. Mesocarp samples were analyzed with light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Irregularity of the cell wall increased, microfibrils became disorganized, and some dissolution of the middle lamella was observe...
متن کاملA Review on Persea Americana Mill. (Avocado) - Its Fruit and Oil
Avocado, also known as the ‘Alligator pear’ is a tropical fruit that has originated from America. The analysis of the fruit constituents reveals that it abounds in various fatty acids, vitamins, carotenoids and other phytochemicals. It is hence a very nutritious food. Avocado oil, extracted from the fruit pulp and seeds also retains most of the nutrients present in the fruit and can be used as ...
متن کاملTranscriptomic Analysis of Avocado Hass (Persea americana Mill) in the Interaction System Fruit-Chitosan-Colletotrichum
Avocado (Persea americana) is one of the most important crops in Mexico as it is the main producer, consumer, and exporter of avocado fruit in the world. However, successful avocado commercialization is often reduced by large postharvest losses due to Colletotrichum sp., the causal agent of anthracnose. Chitosan is known to have a direct antifungal effect and acts also as an elicitor capable of...
